Hello,
I'm going to replace my 3/8 gas line ( hose ) that runs from the tank to the carb.

i have an 1988 bow rider with a 3.0 mercruiser in it.

I have noticed there are 2 different gas lines ( hoses ) I can get:

type A-1 or type B-2

Mine has the A-1 on it now but I am curious which one is better?
and, what is the difference between them? ( other than a buck a foot in price )

Thank you,

There are 4 types of marine fuel line: A1, A2, B1 and B2. "A" line must be able to pass a 2.5 minute fire test where "B" does not. Type 1 lets about 1/3 as much vapor permeate through it as type 2 does.

Therefore, you really want to be using A1 hose which is required by the CG except in a few instances.
