Im really thinking about buying a 1989 Glastron in the states and bringing it back home to Canada, Have any of my fellow Canadians done this ? Whats involved ? (NY State to Quebec)
I bought a Snowmobile in March from the states but is A boat different ?
What are the duty fee's and taxes to be paid ? Thanks....

Most likely you'll pay PST & GST. I don't think there are any duties on boats produced in North America. I met a fella who imported a Bayliner 3288 last year and all he paid was the taxes.

Good luck trying to find anything on the CRA web site.

Enjoy waiting for your new conformity labels.

They send you a letter to keep on board untill you receive them but that took them 6 weeks to get toi me.

I can expect the real labels in up to 52 weeks. :)

Do you have to get the boat inspected to get the conformity labels, or is just the trailer ?
