Searched and could not find anything similar...
Have a 1995 90 hp TLRT which I purchased the complete digital tach speedo package for.
Have the 5 page installation instructions also which should mean no problem right.
Problem is I only have 1 square connector on the motor and the instructions show 2 square connectors that you hook the 2 square plugs on the harness
which goes to the tach. Plus the one connector that I have is a 4 pin with only 2 pins being used (green wire and green/red wire) which I think is for the external oil tank, not one of the 2 needed for the harness.
Did some 1995 motors come without the square connectors or could there be a reason someone would remove them (I did not buy the motor new)?
Any help would be great since I cannot finish rigging the boat until this is resolved.

on the engine end you will have 2 square connectors, trim is gray,black,orange and pink. oil is green and green red.
the harness that connects the engine to the guage will have the same colors.
green is for oil level indicate and the green red is for low oil indicate.
depending on the kit you may only have gotten the harness from the keyswitch to the guages.
somekits dont include the oil warning harness or the trim indicate harness.

Thanks for the reply, did some digging around and some electrical tape removal.
Then I have one of the two engine side connectors needed (green, green/red)
for the oil. I have the two gauge kit shown at the link below with everything in the picture of the kit on the link except the rigging instuctions booklet which was not in my box from the dealer.

a. found three wires ( black, orange, pink/blue) together in black sleeving that
have been cut off.
b. found a gray wire that comes from a bullet connector (goes to another wire that also connects to a small black cylinder about an inch long) that has
also been cut off.
These are probably the wires that would go to the second connector if it was still there, right?
My luck, go figure so does anyone know of a source for the engine side connector and pins I need. Would probably have to buy the entire engine wiring harness to get it new or used or find someone willing to cut up a harness which is not likely since they are not cheap.
Or I can cut off the connector and use splices to connect them which I kinda hate to do since I paid so much for the gauge kit. Last resort if you think those are the wires I need.

yep, ya either need a wire harnes, an old engine that you can cut them off of or cut up the engine end of the new trim harness and hardwire it using a decent set of crimpers and heatshrink type butt connectors.

Will try and find something that will work then in the meantime will go ahead
with the rigging, just didn't want to cut two big holes in the console if there
was a technical reason the multi-function gauges would not work with my motor.
Leave it to my luck that the previous owner would choose to just cut off
the factory connectors.
Was hoping that maybe the connector was the same as some import car which I could get at the local Upullit junk yard.
Looks like I maybe able to pick up just the trim cable fairly reasonable on Ebay and cut the connector off the tach end to use. Just have to wait for
some auctions to end and see if I can win one.
