Changing oil injection ratio

I have seemed to always run on the rich side of my oil mixture with my injection system.

I am pretty sure there is an adjustment, but is it OK to attempt to correct to factory reccomendations? I am using a little over 2 1/2 gallons of oil with 80 gallons of gas. Pretty much 35:1 mixture ratio at best.

I am wondering if I could hurt things by too much oil ratio. And is it better to just use more oil?

Thanks for any help.

A lot of 2 strokes requires 50:1.
What is the year and model of your Merc?

If you have the standard Merc injection system, yes there is an adjustment. It will run ok but will cause a lot of carbon build up. You are probably in need of a decarb at this point.
