Fuel Pump, Throttle Cable or what?

Had my 90hp (1992) Johnson out yesterday. Everything going fine for about 30 minutes then a sudden 6mph drop in speed. 20 minutes after that, back up again to top speed. Didn't touch a thing before it happened. 20 minutes later, after stopping with engine on (slowed down very quickly), the engine quit. Needed to lift idle throttle way high to start, engine quit everytime when throttle dropped. When finally got into gear and took off top speed again.

Any thoughts as to what the problem is?

sounds like fuel restriction, did the primer bulb collase, check the vent on the tank. also could be powerpack or coils getting warm and failing.
