Old Evinrude 25hp

We need help.

My grandson acquired an old Evinrude 25 that he would like to bring back to good running condition.

There is not a nameplate that clearly identifies model or serial numbers.

However, inside the motor cover are these numbers.

E25202
38427902
25202
RE0005942

All help will be appreciated.

You somehow missed your forum on the way to the bottom of the list.

I'm pretty sure the E25202 is the model number and the RE0005942 is the seriel number.

edit: it is a 1972 25 hp
