Mariner 15hp 1996 - No Spark.

I am getting no spark on this motor.

1. I am getting no current coming out of the switch box to the ignition coils.

2. I seem to be getting trigger pulses (.5-1 V Ac )from the trigger

3. From the stator I can observe 20V on the blk/wht wire.

4. From the stator I get .5-1V on the blk/yel wire. (Unless the blk/yel wire is disconnected from the blk/yel wire going to the switch box. If it is disconnected from that, I get 200 V.)

I want to check the stator, trigger, and switch box by checking for resistance across them. However, I cannot find specs on what these should be.

I have the Seloc book on this motor, (isbn 0 - 89330 - 051 - 9), but its information on testing these components is very patchy.

Does anyone possess the capability and desire to help me?

What is the number on the switchbox, I can get you specs

um, there are two numbers:

1575 - stamped in the black plastic itself.

339-754A17 - stamped in white paint. (I can't be sure that 1 isn't an I.)

This is the only number close to the one you list for that year

The number that you gave me is incomplete so the only thing that I can do is ck numbers for boxes used in 96 that test, I gave you is for the only number with a 3 digit number follow with a 4 digit number and an A* maybe a serial number from the motor will tell us.

the part # on the switch box is

339-7452A17

Does anyone have any specs on this?

Oos, in the CDI manual to that is the test for 339-7452A17 box they have the wrong number in the service manual but when I look it up in the parts manual it's listed right
