I sometimes leave my Triton aluminum boat in the water for extended periods. Is there a product I can use to reduce any ill effect on hull such as algae? The Hull is painted.

An anti-ablative, or anti-fouling bottom paint such as an interlux product.

That's probably about it and it will ruin that nice paint job that Triton puts on their Alum's.

Other option is to buy a hoist and hoist her up.

Some folks that have lake property have a driveway that goes into the water and others just have a rail system.

In the case of the driveway, they leave the boat on the trailer and just back the trailer into the water (leaving it while boating) and pull it back out when finished....some have a shed/carport thing and pull it up and under that; works great.

Same thing with the rail. Have a dolly that holds the boat and use an electric motor/winch system to launch and retrieve.

All boats will grow algae whether painted or polished gel coat with the boat in the water for long periods of time, some faster than others.

If you choose bottom paint be sure it is compatible with your boat.
