I need a new starter for a 1985 OMC 5.7 liter application. I would like to replace it with one of the new permanet magnet high tourqe style of starters. They pull fewer amps and spin the engine over a little faster. In order to determine what the correct application is I need to know how many teeth are on the flywheeel. Is anyone famliar with the number of teeth for this application?
