bottom end?

hey guys. lent my brother my boat and it returned with the pinion gear, forward gear shifter broken. its quite expense.

do you think i should rebuild the bottom end to sell it. i just bought a new boat last friday and was planning on selling this one this week.

its a 1990 50 hp johnson. the boat its with is a 1973 stuery. i was going to sell boat, motor, trailer for $2500 but now i dont know what to do(dont want to put $1000 (in parts) in it to sell for $2500).

Lots of used gearcases for sale. If you can't find a supplier in your area and iboats doesn't have one shoot me an email. We'll get you pointed in the right direction.
