what year is my 45hp mariner

Hi. We just bought an older boat and motor and need some information on it. The motor is a 45hp Mariner and I think the serial number is 37-13020. Can someone please tell me how to find out what year it is? Thanks very much for any help you can give.

Welcome to iboats!

The serial number won't have a dash in it. It should be on the swivel bracket on a plate.

Thank you very much plainsman but we can't seem to find the plate. Is there any other way to find out what year this motor is? Would it help if I posted a picture? Thanks for your help.
