Default 86 Bayliner 19' cuddy prop

Just curious as to what size and pitch prop others are running on their 19' cuddy's. I beleive mine is a 13 3/4 by 15. I know the pitch is 15 but not sure of the size exactly. The top speed it roughly around 30-33. But it takes forever for the boat to get on plane. I tried to mess with the trim but nothing seems to help. Once it's on plane it seems to run really good. Would switching the prop possible help with getting on plane faster. I also don't have much of a hole shot either. I couldn't tell you what my rpm's are yet because I don't have a tach. (still waiting on one from sporqster)

Also, do any of you with the cuddy have a problem when turning after backing off the throttle? I was out last week with some buddies and I was on the tube. I got thrown off and when my buddy turned around to come back for me the boat looked like it was going to capsize. Then the same thing happened to me when I was driving. I let off the throttle a bit and turned to go back and get him after he had fallen off and I got the scare of my life. The boat tipped so far I thought we were going in. Maybe I just need to get use to this boat. My other one was a tri-hull and I don't think you could tip it if you tried.

I'd say you have the right prop 15" pitch, that's a fairly heavy boat, and all those other symptoms are normal. A pair of smart tabs, or a doel fin, would help you get on plane faster, and help stabilize the boat more in turns. I'd guess top speed to be about 30-35mph.
