Ok..With the help of this forum, I was able to turn what I thought was a frozen engine. It was a frozen out drive.
What only the block sitting in the boat now, I'm will also pull it out to pull the pan and check things down below. This will be the cherry picker that will hoist the block out.
In order to figure out if I want more power or leave it as is, I need to figure what engine it is first.
The block cast id is 10066036 which indicates: it is a 350 with a 2 or 4 bolt main, Target Master/Goodwrench crate motor, 2-piece rear seal, "Hecho en Mexico"
The only place I found that had a tag with the serial number, was on the the flame arrestor cover. It was peeled and worn off.
Is there another way to figure out how much power this engine will put out? Like I put in the block, head, manifold, etc info and pops out with the expected power? This engine is on a 1983 23' Wellcraft aft cabin so I would like some decent power to push this thing. I'm thinking 300hp. I'll build it up if I need to but, I need a baseline first.
Not sure if engine is original or not.
