I had no problems taking the impeller off a 135 hp it seemed like it was buttered up but this impeller on my 85hp seems like it is glued. Can't seem to dislodge it from the shaft. Anyone have any tricks? I'm not sure I want to pry up on it from under with a flat head, don't want to cause other damage to the surrounding surfaces.
If the blaster does not work, Try holding the drive shaft firmly and turning the impeller clockwise with as much force as possible.
If the shaft was not greased with Triple-Guard, there is a good chance that the dissimilar metals have fused. Use a Dremel to cut it off. Try to cut where the key is to protect the shaft as much as possible.
