anyone ever tried to mount a trolling motor on a capri? i like to fish and i dont mind using the big motor to get me around but sometimes id like to just move small distances without starting up the motor. is there any kind of special mount for our boats or am i just going to have to make something?
Cuddy or open bow? Keep looking around for answers. I have read several treads with this subject. I have thought of doing that myself on my 89 Cuddy somehow.
its a open bow, 88 capri fish and ski, i looked and didnt find anything to informative, was hoping maybe someone had pictures or there was something aftermarket that maybe replaced or slipped over the front seats with stairs to walk up onto.
I hv 87 capri as well and was thinking the same thing, as my kids are all grown now, and hv better things to do. I was kinda thinking of makeing it a fishing boat. I hate to mess the front of the capri up installing a tmotor, with my luck i would mess it up. Anyone have any pics or ideas?

Re: Trolling motor on a 88 Capri boat?
I fish quite a bit.
First it was from my 14' jon boat with a little deck up front and a bow mount troller. Then it was from an 16' aluminum deep v with transom mount troller.
Now I have this 19' bowrider for the family fun but I need a trolling motor when I fish.
I was considering purchasing one of these for next season:
I'm not clear yet on what the policy is here for links but if you browse Bass Pro Shops website for trolling motors you can find this.
I already own 3 deep cycle batteries from the other boats and the wiring for me would be no problem.
