1975 Searay Ford 302, found crack between cylinders 1 and 2 found water on top of pistons 6 and 7. Having heads checked and reworked, have a used block on the way.

The block is coming from a running/working vehicle. Question....how hard would the job be, and should I hone cylinders and install new rings. Haven't gotten the numbers on the compression test yet, should get that tomorrow.

I would mic the cylinders first. Or check how much of a lip there is on the cylinder. If too much no amount of honing will help, will need to be bored.
