115 johnson runs good then dies cant restart

1970 115 johnson starts easy ,runs good ,idles good ,runs out good then dies and is impossible to restart for several hours then it will run fine again until it dies again?please help

When its doing that again you need to check to see if it has spark to the plugs.

thank you for your response, I will check for spark next time it dies.Any ideas on what to do if i find no spark?

Check coils to make sure they are not cracked, allowing spark to arc to the mounting flange. this is easiest to check at night.
