On my 86 searay i noticed that my gimble ring has some play in the upper pin. I have 1991 boat with a 4 cylinder engine that i'm getting ready to scrape the outer transom plate,gimble ring and bellhousing are in great shape. Can i use those parts on the 86 with a v8 engine and still be able to mount my older style alpha 1 drive to it?
