Default bilge not working?

Well I had my boat out saturday and the bilge was working fine the first half of the day. We stopped for lunch and it started raining, when I got out to the boat I turned the bilge on and nothing happened? I do know the fuse is not blown but I havent had a chance yet to check everything else yet. Any ideas? thanks

Get a current tester($5)at radioshack or any auto parts store and check for current.

Check for power to the motor using a tester, but can you hear anything like is it moving only air? If so maybe the hose is loose, or plugged up? Little holes on the bottom of the bilge pump get plugged up with debris too.

I had the almost same problem...I found that the float was sticking just due to dirt etc...cleaned the float auot pump took over.

If the motor is working and the filter is not plugged, etc check that the hose has constant upward placement. On mine if the hose is lower than the pump it will not work.
