Just today, I started my 60hp mariner outboard, ran rough and then when I use the high throttle, it stalls. I can only run at low speed.

The outboard runs on high idle, low idle it runs rough and dies.

I took the carburetor apart, both didn't show any sediment. Although, the bottom carb's bowl didn't have any gas. It looked somewhat dry. The top carb'd bowl had fuel in it.

I checked around and didn't see anything obvious.

I changed the spark plugs. I am not sure what to do next?

I will clean it with carb. cleaner tomorrow.

giving the carbs a bath is a good start, make sure to check all your lines and clamps for leaking air
