Replacing shaft packing in a MasterCraft V-Drive

HI,

I need to replace the shaft packing in our Mastercraft V-Drive and wondering what the best way is to go about it. Should you do it from above or below and if I have to do it from above are there any suggestions on the easiest way to get to it.

i don't have a v-drive, straight inboard. my initial thought is do it whatever way you can reach it. i know it's a tight squeeze on the v's. my other thoughts are that you'll get a quicker response if you post on an active wakeboarding site such as wakeworld.com or wakeboarder.com. finally, i believe most of mastercraft's manuals are online if you need one. i've googled them in the past.
