Last week I took the family on a boat trip to a beach. After unloading the boat, I walked it out to chest deep water to tie it up to a "Do not beach boats" sign on a sturdy post in the water.
As I was tying the bow line to the post with the boat behind me, a big wave lifted the bow, and it came down right on my head. Knocked me under the water and very near knocked me out! That was one serious slam in the head. So I am more aware of the boat when in the water around it. I think it did it on purpose....
