I had it with my 1989 3.0 Mercruiser in my 1989 19' Monterrey.
I had invested within the past 2 yrs over $4,000 in parts and labor. First the Sterndrive, then the engine maniford and raiser and now seems the DDSI ignition system is dying on me. Presently at the mechanic waiting for the good news ($$$$).
Anyone can tell me when enough is enough?
Dont know if I should:
(A) throw it out and get me a new engine/sterndrive I think will cost me $6,000 to $8,000 to get years of trouble free boating
(B) Burn the I/O and get me an outboard (of course will have to modify the transom) for about the same $6,000 to $8,000
(C) Burn the damn boat and get me a new one for around $20,000

Open for suggestions...

It appears that You don't turn your own Wrenches,........

That being the case,.... Option (C) would probably be the wisest move.........

(D) Sell it and find a new hobby.
