I am replacing the floor to my boat and painting it (im not using carpet cause its a pain the rear end to clean)

Does the deck need to be completely sealed; glass all around, so that water cant get to the lower part of the hull?

Re: floor question

is this a fiberglass or aluminum boat. stringers are the bones/framework under the floor, usually wood encased in fiberglass in a fiberglass boat. also is the foam floatation under the floor. Aluminum boats have Aluminum frame work, and foam floatation. can't give correct answer with out input.

The hull looks good, but everything else looks like crap.
