Default 1988 Yamaha 8 hp impeller change
Just a quick question for you Yammy guys. I'm going to replace an impeller in a buddies 1988 Yamaha 8 hp. Is there anything special about disconnecting the lower unit I should know before I start? I've never worked on Yamaha so I thought I'd ask the pros in this forum.

Nope. The shift connection is on the front side of the steering tube.
