Battery question?

I accidently hooked the negative cable to the + battery terminal and vice versa yesterday, and tried to start it. Other than blowing a fuse, would this cause any damage to the temp sensor that would cause the motor to shut down???? Its a 2004 Honda BF150A.

Check your regulator if this model has one.
