Okay here is the thing one by one my guages have been screwing up. This weekend I lost oil pressure according to guage. Any way to figure out what is wrong? I don't think I REALLY lost oil pressure. Because if I did I am in trouble because I ran it all weekend like that. No knocking or funny noises all was well. How do I track down the problem?
engine is 1980 omc 140 hp (stringer)

Mine did that too, my sending unit was bad. If you had no oil pressure the motor would not last 10 min. more than likely.

Disconnect the wire from the oil pressure sending unit, and ground the wire to a good clean ground. With the key in the run position, it should peg the gauge to max. If it does, replace the sender.
IF the gauge doesn't move, make sure you have power and ground to the gauge and continuity on the wire between the gauge and sender.
