I?m sure that this conversation has come up more than once. What type of rivets should I use on a small Jon boat? The Guy that had it before me used automobile rivets and well lets say it leaks better then the strainer that I use for noodles.

Waterrproof rivets exist in the "Pop" Rivet style. You can also get backing plates lined with neopreme, for waterproofing.

you really need solid air craft type rivets. search rivets. there's a post with a source.
