I have 2 small holes in the seam of my zodiac, and the seams are showing threads all the way around the bow of the boat. How bad is this, can it be fixed? I have heard they are not, but I am guessing this is more for tears or rips not just small leaks.

Are the seams likely to just rip while I'm using the boat?

I was going to use a few 4" wide patches to just cover the entire seam which stretches all around the bow, does this sound like a good idea?
