Merc 5.0 MPI - flame-out - Low revs

Another new owner.... 2005 Crownline 202 BR - only 24 hours. Low revs in a no-wake zone and engine flames-out. Does not re-start. Had to be towed in. Dealer indicated that it may need a ECM update. Another thought it was likely a anti-siphon valve.

Anyone else have a similiar issue.

What engine and drive setup????
I can tell you for sure, no matter what engine you have, that the ECM does not need an update. That just isn't done on any Merc or Volvo ECM's.

Check the fuel filters for water, check for spark?

5 liter, MPI, 260 HP. Outdrive at .162. Now in a shop.
