new motor last year, motor ran fine two months ago.... today, will start but wont idle down and stalls when i put it in gear at higher rpms...... It runs at higher idles but when i idle down it will stall.... I am thinking a carb adjustment problem ??? Should i not mess with it and just take it to the shop, or should i try the low speed adjustment if i can find it !!!!!
don't mess with that carb if you don't know what you're doing. you could lean out your new motor and ruin it. a nice newer motor is worth taking to a mechanic because their knowledge is invaluable. if its sat up, it probably has a gummed up carburetor which is easily fixed by a mechanic. you might try checking your fuel to see if it has water in it, draining it, and putting new gas with a little of "sea foam" cleaner in it.
