I use a basic setting of 2 turns on inline 6s, some people use 1 1/2 turns, whatever it will idle at, the thing that has to be done is the engine adjusted in the water, in gear set the idle speed at 700 to 750 and start on the top card screw the mixture screw in till the engine drops RPM then richen it till it smooths out + 1/4 turn work your way down. I run the adjustments top to bottom 1 time for each carb to get the best adjustment, in the case of a 115 that would be 3 times then re adjust the idle to around 750 in gear

i dont think the problem is with the mixture,,, and thanks for the information on adjusting the mixture

seems like the top lever is hitting the lever from the distrubtor which is hitting the metal framing and not letting the throttle plates close

can the throttle lever stop on each carb. be adjusted on the throttle shaft?
