Welcome to iboats.....
You need to pull the drive, drain it & pressure test it to find the leak.....
You will need to take it to a shop to be resealed.....
The tools & techniques are really not a DIY.....
When you drain it, nte the color of the gear oil, it should not have any traces of water......
Did any wate rcome out of the ujoint bellows when the drive was removed....
If you must get on the water right away, there are aftermarket drives on ebay for $1200.......
Make sure you check the ujoint bellows...
I changed my gear lube friday and there was water in it. Could it be the seals around the water pump. The person I bought the boat from had it for a while and never changed the water pump. Thanks for your help.
If you had water in it all the seals should be replaced......
It is unlikely that the water pump gaskets are the culprit....
You will need to pressure test and brush soapy water on it to find the leak(s).......
Make sure your bellows are not leaking.....
