So finally got the boat on the water this weekend after replacing the engine, Upper outdrive unit and a bunch of other things. Went well except for 3 problems. One of you experts must know whats up.
First of all 1974 sea ray srv 190.
problem 1.) Will not shift smoothly into reverse have to keep moving shift handle back and forth then it jams into reverse almost full throttle??
Problem 2.) Steering is extremely tight takes two hands to turn the boat.
Problem 3.) Engine is overheating rebuilt 302 all new parts and so on. Could this be the impeller? I am new to boating excuse the dumb questions.
