HI i need to know if my motor needs work because when i hook the flush up to it and i start it out of water is it supposed to have a oily tent on the return water coming out? not much but a little it starts nice runs good.but has that oily tent i put a bucket under the propeller to catch some of the return water it doesn't look bad i bought it used and it had really old gas it set for two years.i just ran all that gas out.

your always going to get some fuelly residue with water comimg out. exhaust comes out prop with water, unburnt fuel and oil goes with it. if its really bad, carbs may need cleaning to get out varnish and crud from old fuel. you should probably change water pump impeller as it will fail from sitting. they need changing ever year to 2 years. check lower leg lube oil and make sure its not milky from water getting in or lube blowing out with flush water.
