Here is the number off the sterndrive i was able to find it after scraping some paint off 0C383695 before that it's either 1.50R or 2.50R. Then i marked the prop and crankshaft i turned the crankshaft 2 full turns till the prop turned once.So by my calculations that's a 1.98 ratio sterndrive. Which would explain why i have such poor performance out of this boat. So it looks like my only option is to buy a new sterndrive to get the correct ratio.

Before you dismiss the drive completely, pull the top off the drive and count the teeth on the two gears, then divide the small number into the larger number just to be sure.

The case, according to you previous post says it's a 1.50:1. If it's not someone has changed the gears in the drive.

Replacing the upper gearset is not that expensive, a new drive will set you back at least $1200
