I need to replace the trim limit switch on a pre-Alpha Mercruser drive. It's a '68 on a new to me glasspar. As far as I can tell, the limit switch is on the top of the gimbal housing, not on the side of the drive like newer outdrives. Do I need to remove the gimbal ring to get the switch out for replacemnet?
