69 Evinrude starter

Can anyone tell me who to call or where to go to buy a starter kit for my 69 Evinrude 18 hp motor? Starter- starter bracket- solenoid - coil if needed and anything else needed. I have done the e bay and on line catalogs without any success

You will most likely have to go to a marine salvage operation. The only one I know is frankiesmarine.com/ and I can't vouch for him one way or the other. I can tell you to get ready to empty your wallet.

Judging from the number of times people write in here asking where to get starters for 18hps, they must be getting pretty scarce.

you can find all kinds of starters for a Evinrude but you have to know how many teeth - you have to have a mounting bracket that is hard to find- you need to know solenoid type etc etc etc. I would have thought someone with a little foresight would see the need for this market item and make a kit available to the public. Some one with the knowledge could do very well ..
