2001 Yamaha 30hp (MSHZ) Battery charge hookup
Hello forum,
I would like to know if its possible and what I need to do in order to get my 2001 Yam (30MSHZ) to charge my boat battery. Thasnks.

yes, but you will need to buy the rectifier kit.
the stator is already set up for AC output but to charge a DC battery will require the rectifier kit.

Thanks man for the heads up on that, I'll begin the search for finding one. Hey, is it possible to put an electric start on the motor or is that just a pain?

Possible, but very expensive.

the bigger the better
flooded cells are the best but require more maintenance
