Want to get rid of points

I have a '88 concord with 188 hp mercruiser and had trouble with the points.
A friend told me about a module that can replace them but cant find anything.
Anyone have any ideas where to start?

Google Pertronix. They have electronic ignition conversion kits for about $100.

Spend a bit more and get the Pertronix II. It won't burn out if you leave the key on by accident. You're going to want to bypass your ballast wire too.
