force 50 prop slipping?

i have a 1985 force 50 and from 0 to 1/2 throttle the motor and prop run well. after 1/2 throttle it feels like the prop starts slipping, and at full throttle the motor is turning max. rpm's but the boat does not move. i've had the prop recavitized and the mechanic also checked the hub and said it was fine. any ideas? thanks.

I would have someone else check the prop or get another one. Sure sounds like a spun hub. Take a permanant marker and put marks on the prop and the prop nut. When it slips check those lines to see if they still line up.
