I just purchased an Ifinder H20 because my GlobalMap 100 died. Can't believe it but Lowrance changed the antenna connector. Can I get an adapter or put a new connector on my antenna ?
Thanks.

Re: GPS antenna

Check e-bay for antennas.
I picked up one for about 20$ and it works fine.
it uses a mcx connector now and most newer portable units use them.

make sure if you buy one specify the cable length because the shipped length is 9'
Depending on use this may be too long or too short.

Re: GPS antenna

Is it necessary to have the antennae for the ifinder? (I have an H20C) I have read that it locks on to signal quicker with the antennae, but are there any other advantages?

Re: GPS antenna

The antenna works very good for in a car or under a roof where you can't normaly get a signal.
The antenna can be perminant mounted outside the vehicle giving the best signal strength.
