i have a 15 horse johnson model J15ROIS SERIAL NUMBER E5418202 what year is this motor i cant find it anywhere my other motor is j15rcsd and it is not hard to find please help

I think you have misread your model number. It should probably be J15RCIS, which would be a 1981 Johnson 15 hp rope start.

Your other motor is a 1980.

ok thanks now what would this motor be worth it is like new still has all decals on wireing and such as plug gap maybe 25 hours use it has been in the family from new also the inside of carb breather is very clean all paint still looks new on engine and external parts ill post pics today

Depends on the market in your area. Where I live in Ontario, a Johnson 15 hp of that era is worth $600-850 CDN. I recently sold a 1981 in good overall condition for $700. If it was in like new condition I would have asked $850; I don't know what that would be in American $ since you can't just convert the dollar. Find something that costs $850 in Canada and then see what it costs in the US.
