Mercury 50 - What year?

I posted a similar post already but this area seems more appropriate.

I was given a Mercury 50 with the serial # 1423675. Does anyone know what year it is?

Also, I don't really need it and it - my Bayrunner has a 60hp Mariner that runs great and I have two kicker motors. Any idea of what I should try to sell it for?

The motor hasn't run in several years but apparently ran when it was removed from the boat (they scrapped the boat). Do you think the motor is worth anything more than an anchor to someone? It was used in fresh water only - I believe. No signs of corrosion anywhere.

Any advice would be appreciated as to how to sell it. I have an 18' Bayrunner but it has a strong running Mariner 60 on it. I'd just as soon get this motor to someone who would run it.

Thanks. I'll probably go the Craigs List route. Hopefully I can get it into the hands of someone who can use it. Hey - I could buy myself a few beers as well. Cheers!
