I have a 72 125 electric shift that has bit the dust. it is mounted on a 67 boston whaler sakonnet. i currently use a morse mt3 single top mount shifter.
the forward-reverse-neutral was controlled by a 3-position push/pull type switch
mounted in the dash of the center console. i ran the engine without a tach.
I am looking at a 1981 johnson 90 with tilt and trim. what rigging issues are there with this newer engine? will i need new control cables. will i be able to utilize the controls and harnesses that come with the engine and integrate the
morse shifter?(i really want to keep the classic control).
thanks,
crosley
