1997 120hp water in #1,#4 cylinder

First off I bought this glastron SE170 and motor new in 97.370 hrs on motor. A couple of years ago I started to see a little water and rust on the #1 and #4 plugs.Last year it seemed to get worse and the plugs got milkey.It got to the the point that the motor will not idle.It is so bad now that #1 does not burn the gas and water mix.I took of the head and didn't see any place where water was getting in to the cylinder.Checked and head is not warped.Put new head gasket on and ran it on the muffs and still have milkey #1 and #4 plugs.I then removed the exhaust cover and plate and can't see any water leakage on exhaust gaskets.All pistons and cylinders from what I can see look O.K.Could it be a cracked block that is letting in the water.This motor has over heated slightly in the past when the muffs fell off many years ago.Also back in 1999 the top piston was replaced from a lean condition.

I hate to tell you this, but I have a co-worker who had a 120 that had water getting in. His would idle and run low rpms ok, but wouldn't push any faster than 6 or 7 knots. He rebuilt carbs, etc., etc. He took it to someone for possibly rebuilding the engine and they finally found that the piece of aluminum between the water jacket and cylinder was made really thin. he said it was bent/cracked likely from being overheated by the previous owner. My Force 90 did the same thing to me last weekend. It was running great but started acting up. Wouldn't run more than 2200 without spitting and sputtering. Took me 2 hours to cover the 12 miles back in. I'm going to check the plugs when I get home. If I find water, I think I'm going to call it quits for the Force, sell the foot, and get a newer model.
