I need to replace the drive coupler on my 1991 Bayliner. I have the 4.3 litre V-6. I notice in the parts catalogs that for engines manufactured after 1993, they will sell you the coupler without the yoke/Drive shaft, but for 1983-1993 they only offer the kit with the coupler and the yoke. Am I right to assume that my 1991 yoke/drive shaft will not fit the new style coupler design? The photos of the new style couplers do look slightly different from the unit currently installed in my boat. The splined receiver on the coupler dosen't seem to stick out as far on mine as in the photos on the new replacement parts.
