welcome to the forum!

First rule out the kill circuit: unplug the big red main wiring harness plug and turn the engine over by jumping the solenoid. If you get spark like that, troubleshoot the kill switch, key switch & wiring. the kill wire is black w/yellow tracer - grounds out the powerpacks when touched to ground.

Might want to disconnect & ground all the plug wires - if the engine starts like this, you won't be able to shut it off except by manually flooding it out with the primer.

Thanks jtexas I disconnected the kill switch at the key black with yellow tracer ,no spark my wiring harness has only two black plugs no big red , still no spark I disconnected one harness at a time it still turned over with one disconnected no spark but would not turn over with the other disconnected.I,m not sure what you mean with grounding plug wires ?

ok, sorry bout the "big red plug", but you ruled out the kill circuit. "grounding the plug wires" means using jumper wires to connect the plug wires to engine block ground, to provide a circuit for the voltage from the coils. If you're testing one at a time, you'd want to either ground the other 3, or else leave 'em connected. For safety reasons. Also avoids potential damage to electrical components.

Here's a link to an ignition troubleshooting guide with the specs for testing resistance and voltage output from the powerpack stator & timer base - you'll need a DVA adapter for your multimeter:

good luck & keep us posted
