Should I consider buying dual outboard or single outboard motors for a 24 ft WA?

Re: Dual outboards

Dual outboards are great for offshore..... chances are if one breaks down you will get home.

Duals are twice the money, twice the maintenance and could be twice the headaches.

Depends on how experienced you are and how much money you are willing to invest.

Re: Dual outboards

Lots of variables to consider - The baisc one is if you go with a single what would you do if you are out, the single dies and the weather picks up?

Where do you typically go?
If a single will you have an auxiliary?
How quick can you get help?
etc.
etc.

And welcome!
