I have A 98 Force 50hp and have A intermitten problem raising the motor the lowering part always works fine but sometime it will raise and most of the time it dosentI have checked the switch and relays and have power all the way in to the hydraluic pump motor. Is ther something in there I can check ? if so how can I raise the motor manually in order to check it? Thanks in advance Tim

if - motor gets power but does not spin
then - need to get motor rebuilt. probably rust on inside. best to replace it or have it rebuilt by someone who will bead blast inside of motor to prevent future rust.

if - motor spins but nothing happens
then - either low on fluid, pump needs rebuilding, or there is debris in system

if - the resevoir is topped off and when it does work it does not bleed down or leak fluid
then - probably debris in system blocking a valve open. flush and refill might fix it. I see 3-4 mercury pumps a year where paint has flaked off inside and jammed the valves.
